E.IV's EP (NERV007) was released 12/15/2008. This is the dossier on the deceased rodent. Multi-colored inks detailing psychiatric status and conflicting reports. The headaches and shaking brain would sometimes prevail. It began when he smashed his teeth on the way up the stairs. This rendered him unable to speak again. The young rambunctious rodent was running from fierce felines. The faulty whiskers forgot the enemy. The patients were so very discontented in the cellar. They sent him up there to find the way out. This is (w)rec(k)onciliation. There is not enough stability without the fences. Rodental set the records straight. He would smile in secrecy thinking. They are not allies just because they stand beside you. Mostly mocking and insincere and discovered when it is too late. There is much to be proven. Mirror balls can’t keep smashing trying to find the trap door. He was accident prone but still had to get them to the show. The teeth later returned sharp and ready to gnash and tear opponents. The doctor’s notes disbelieved and denied the medical mystery. His was a life lived in equal parts fortitude and despair. The end was a candlelight dinner on the shadow of the brain. This is the closest to peace the creature came.
Our 4th EP Black Queen’s Beads (NERV006) was released on April 25, 2008. This coincided with a performance for Wayward Sisters at the Bijou Theatre. The treasures were transported with bare teeth. They are packed with care in shredded gift wrap. These were dealt among royal prim proper and rough mistresses. Five flee(t)ing femme fatales found fur flying. Something sparkles under riding crop x-rayed through blindfold. The queen that was free… she held out her hands and mailed her blessings. The mute witness to the process wants to speak so badly. She offers heartbeats as consolation. The lost objects were only misplaced in a fun time distance. Red, blue and green bows and dotted devotion adorn these bea(s)ts. The chase has left an overdrive of pretty feelings. New additions take their place, less subtractions in their wake. This moment in time everything was exceptional.
Our 3rd EP Ardilla Arias (NERV005) was released on 4/25/07. This coincided with our performance for the VERSION07 Festival. A good place to start was 2027… its cold, its November and precisely 25 years later. Sitting and singing as a silhouette in the silence that surrounds. This is simultaneous fantasy and reality across the street. A drey was discovered. It was starting to overflow with songs we have been performing live and not recording. These were stored for the winter. Some thawed and some with a case of frostbite. So many things can stand in the way, which gives better reason to go back to the beginning. We are finding a way to dream and dance despite. Now living in a people house and visited by dear friends. The tree with roots in truth was seeded long ago. A social spectrum is spanned from the salon to the saloon long gone. This concludes with a celebration in 1852. We’ll leave you playing drinking games with deviant dames.
Our new EP Phantasmic Seam (NERV003) was released on 10-15-06. This coincided with our opening for Glass Candy. So much took place in just over 6 months, providing ample inspiration. The themes are steeped in the supernatural. That oddly speeded things along, we felt as if we had helpers. It was beyond us to realize all these ideas settling into the Earth. They were brought along to an unknown place. Ordinary things like walking around the city during a thunderstorm or a nice afternoon in the neighborhood became much more than they were supposed to. A desire to change places with an odd birthday gift, at least for a little while proved fascinating. Eyewitness ghost stories from familiar territory were retold and documented, becoming something that fit perfectly well with what we set out to do. The saddest statues say so much and so little at the same time. What do they mourn or long for? This seam was bent and twisted, submerged and burned. Now it has strengthened and is ready for what comes next. We really enjoyed ourselves creating this and more overjoyed in the chance to share it.
Our first EP Le Miroir [NERV001] was released on 4-21-06. The release coincided with our performance at this year’s Version 6 Festival. These reflections consider changing minds and questioning. The squirrels in the scenes span and scan decades to decide. “Reverse Daydream” is what appears to be the first song we wrote. Old starlets burst through swinging saloon doors to be seen and heard. Fantastic fur is found with a frisky feline that won’t take no for an answer. We are comforted by creatures that are not on par with you. We blow kisses and toast to the other duos. A family can take you to a dark place… just make sure to flashlight your way back. This mirror is a cube. Sometimes you can see yourself and other times only the one next to you. More than that is possible.
We have submitted tracks for Mister Fuckhead's Locked Groove Compilation 7" TRUNCULENCE.
This book compiles the following chapbooks:
Chronicles some of my musically obsessive adventures. This music is mostly other peoples but sometimes crosses over (like a mischievous ghost) into my own musical works. All of these works have previously been unpublished and this is their first time in print. There are reviews of albums by Siouxsie, Prince, Nico and Glass Candy. There are in depth interviews with my pals Lydia Lunch and Mister Fuckhead. There is a live review of Diamanda Galás’ Valentine’s Day Massacre from NYC in 2007. There are some things that are pretty random like my first song lyric and some thoughts on the music of Vampyros Lesbos. There is also some insight into DJing and making compilations. I feel it’s important that each selection has a meaning behind it and serves a purpose or theme. The words here are presented as they were originally written aside from some grammatical fine tunings. There are also several photos and illustrations used to compliment the text.
